Holy Grail Prop Replica with Custom Display Base (Both Holy Grail and Display Base)

This listing is for one of our full size (1:1 scale) Holy Grail prop replica and one of our custom display bases for the Holy Grail. Our prop replica of the Holy Grail is cast in hard ceramic based resin, finished with a terra cotta base layer, gold foil application, and then painted with a multi-layer combination of colors for a true-to-life antique look and feel. The multi-layer paint job on the Holy Grail gives it depth that changes in appearance under various lighting conditions. This is a full size replica which matches the size of the prop used in the movie. Our display base was inspired by the appearance and colors of the Temple of the Sun featuring the Great Seal in the center. It is cast in hard resin, painted with a multi-layer combination of colors for a true-to-life antique look and feel, and the center disc is finished with a silver plating which was then antiqued. Since the great seal in the movie is not shown in great detail it is impossible to know what the words originally said. So, the engraving on our great seal was inspired by some related texts and reads "The Great Seal must never be crossed by the Holy Grail. If this should ever happen, then this temple would fall and the sacred vessel would be lost once more." The Holy Grail is about 6 inches (153mm) tall and about 4.5 inches (143mm) diameter. It weighs 15oz (400g). Note: technically you should not drink from this cup. In this day and age where everything is tested and regulated the authoritarian consensus is that the glue and the gold foil are not considered safe for food contact. FYI, the original cups were also made with gold foil and glue and Harrison Ford and Sean Connery both drank from the cup probably multiple times.
